It is nice to live in a place where you can keep therapist expenses at a minimum. Few consider its home town as a holiday destination. By definition, it has to be far away, 5 to 15 hours must be spent (wasted) in transit plus a good deal of money for accommodation.
Even for weekends we look for alternatives assuming there is nothing left to see. Why don’t you give the place you live, wherever it is, another chance? Maybe, there are some corners you failed to spot in your daily routine. A cafe, a quay, a bookstore (yes, bookstores can be fun, too), a lakeside, a boat by the river, a bottle of wine to share with a friend?
