Istanbul Puppet Festival is due to start on 02 May. This year's sponsors are Cervantes Institute, Italian Cultural Centre, Goethe Institute and Austrian Cultural Centre. There will be 15 groups from 10 countries participating the event and the opening show will be Claudia Cinelli's "Heartbeat." For the virtual travellers an online tour will be available (I will give the link as soon as I get it).

International Istanbul Film Festival has started with the opening gala held at the Lütfi Kırdar Convention and Exhibition Centre on the evening of April, 4th. This year's Lifetime Achievement Award goes to Claudia Cardinale and kickstart has been given with the screening of Lebanese director Nadine Labaki's
