Unlike William Gibson's prophecies, virtual world has still a lot to cover to make on-line experience an almost real one. Despite advances in computers, we are yet far from a true virtual world experience. Today's web-traveller knows that page after page of guides, directories, so and so forth have no meaning, for her. She has no intention of going anywhere; she wants to feel those places at where she is, in front of her terminal, at home, inside her own fortress.
Although not exactly the same, above is also valid for the real traveller. Packaged tours that offer little insight about the places, the people, their culture, etc does not appeal her. In order to increase safety and convenience everything is tightly packed; a few notes about history, a quick tour, and that's about it. The real traveller chooses the less certain paths. She knows the world is not perfect, some people will have flaws and weaknesses, and some will be outright criminals. She is aware that there will be a price (not necessarily money) for her free style and deviance from the comfort and convenience of packaged tours. Just like the web-traveller she wants to see through and witness what is not told.
This is a guide for them, or eventually will be. It does not aim to be complete, it does not have a deadline, nor a preference of order, subject or topic. The author claims to know one thing: the country he was born and is living and hopes that it will be entertaining and informative for both types of travellers.
